Mobile VoIP Company seeks a Embedded Linux Programmer. The successful candidate should have work experience with wireless carriers or similar experience. Candidates should be willing to work in a demanding, yet cutting-edge and exciting environment. Immediate opening, local hire preferred, no relocation reimbursement, full benefits offered.



Responsibilities:
• Candidate will be responsible for developing embedded Linux based software for wireless domain.
• Must have experience of working with Real Time Operating Systems (preferably Clinux).
• Will work closely with the Software team to develop and port software for embedded platforms.

Required skills:
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with embedded Linux based development.
• Extensive experience with porting RTOS on embedded processors.
• Strong C, C++ programming skills.
• Socket programming experience.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, MAC protocols, networking protocols.
• Expertise in embedded testing tools, JTAG etc. is required.
• Knowledge of embedded software development process is necessary.

Desired skills:
• Experience with network level programming, Socket programming etc.
• Experience with testing of wired and wireless communication protocols.
• Knowledge and experience with FPGA platforms e.g. Altera is a plus.
• Experience with Clinux is a big plus.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:
• M.S in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience or B.S in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.

NW/VOIP Engineering Manager

Salary: $120k+

Seeking experienced NW/VoIP Engineering Manager to manage the design of leading edge VoIP products (CPE and servers) deployed in a novel wireless mobile Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony systems.

Qualified candidate will have five to seven years of experience in VoIP, telephony, wireless networking or other related fields, and five to seven years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities
· Plan, execute and ensure the overall success of VoIP projects

· Design the network based on commercial-off-the-shelf or home-grown network elements and validate performance and stability

· Provide strong technical leadership and lead the design and development of new features

· Work within the team and other teams in the R&D organization to generate complete functional and design specifications, organize reviews, manage the implementation/coding/unit-testing stage and provide feedback to team

· Interface with customers as needed to understand technical requirements and to address queries

Requirements
· BSEE/CS and 10 or more years of experience with 5 years in managerial roles, in fast‑paced and dynamic engineering teams; ability to meet aggressive goals
· Solid understanding of VoIP concepts, protocols, network architectures and devices/components
· Proven software design and development background
· Understanding of processes required for delivering high quality software consistently
Strong project management skills; ability to work in an informal startup-up environment and strike the right balance between the needs of the team and those of the organization.
