by gurgmex, Wednesday 29 of March, 2006 [16:48:57 UTC]
I had the same problem trying on a G.729A wireless transport. Surfing on the web I found a couple of vendors for VoIP in Taiwan and one in India (form whom I have no answer yet). I recently began conversations with Taiwanese vendors and they support SIP and codecs G.711, G729A/B/AB among others and they say they can fit to your SIP server. www.vector.com.tw, www.tongya.com.tw I have no idea about no by xx I am gurgmex and the date (31 Dec 1969??) I post on 29 March 2006

333Smart Payphones & VoIP

by fonemantx, Wednesday 04 of January, 2006 [22:23:56 UTC]
We have tested with several smart payphones and are having issues with the analog modems.

Our customers have machines set to poll the phones and download the CDRs, but the calls will drop with a "line quality" issue. Most of these are old Hayes compatable 9600 Baud modems. We are going to try 711 over MGCP.

Has anyone had success with payphones over VoIP?
